Richard Dawkins, The Selfish Gene (Oxford : Oxford University Press, 1976), Chap. 5 to 8
(1) At the second seminar of last wednesday we discussed over chapters 5 to 8. Chapter 5 analyzes the strategy taken by Dawkins' gene by using the "ESS (evolutionary stable strategy)" concept introduced by J. Maynard-Smith. Chapters 6 to 8 argue the familly relation by using the "inclusive fitness" concept made by W. Hamilton.
(2) Seminar participants were most interested in the question of whether there is a room for our free will. It must be argued in the coming chapters, I think.
